Island Ladies continue their undefeated start to the season, with industry and work-rate achieving a 3-1 away win at Petersfield I XI. Goals included a second-half strike from skipper, Kate Ednay, and an early field-goal from Evie Fairhurst, with a late penalty corner securing a fourth win of the season, and maintaining second place in South Central Division Two South.
Island Ladies II lost 3-1 at home to Petersfield II XI, with Megan Bridger scoring the consolation goal early in the match. There were promising senior debuts from Mimi Sampson and Martha Egleton. Newly-qualified Level Two coach, club stalwart, Aly Townend, brought experience to the side in a very tight Solent One match.
Men’s II XI lost 4-2 at home to Gosport 1898 in Solent Division One.
