Try tennis, padel, pickleball and croquet at Ryde club’s free open day

Ryde Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club will hold an open day for everyone on Sunday, July 5, from 1pm to 4pm, at its grounds in Playstreet Lane, Ryde.

Visitors are invited to discover why the club is one of the Island’s most vibrant sporting communities. Whether completely new to the sports on offer, or already experienced, the open day is a chance to play and improve in a friendly and relaxed environment.

People of all ages can try tennis, croquet, padel, and pickleball, with club members on hand to offer guidance, answer questions, and help newcomers get started.

The club has six high-quality all-weather Astroturf tennis courts, two grass courts, four national-standard croquet lawns, and two new padel courts. Its historic Victorian clubhouse has a bar, kitchen, and comfortable terrace for pre- and post-match refreshments.

Families and friends are encouraged to come along and discover the many social and competitive opportunities available throughout the year.

From improving fitness to meeting new people and learning new skills, there is something for everyone. Visitors who join on the day can also take advantage of a half-price membership offer, available only during the open day.
