Three Yarmouth Town trustees have been recognised following their retirement after nearly 30 years service between them.
Chairman, Martyn Collinson, paid tribute to the trio, former Mayor and town councillor, Steve Cowley, former town councillor, Rod Corbett, and John May, at a celebration at the Town Hall, on Tuesday.
He presented each of them with a decanter with the Town Trust crest, and a letter of commendation, which stated: “On behalf of myself and my fellow trustees, may I thank you for your time and interest over recent years in being a valued trustee of the Yarmouth (Isle of Wight) Town Trust.
“The Trust depends on volunteers, such as yourself, to give your experience and local knowledge in the cause of Yarmouth and the surrounding community. Without people such as yourself, Yarmouth would not be the place it is today.”
