Based in the West Gallery at Quay Arts, in Newport, the Ryde Art Collective (TRAC) is hosting its 2026 exhibition until November 8. TRAC is a group of professional contemporary artists.

They are based on the Island, not necessarily all from Ryde, although all their monthly meetings are held there. Ten members of the group have contributed examples of their work for this year’s exhibition.

Works include Karen Mead’s ‘Coterie Absurdia’, which features traditional lino cuts printed onto acrylic sheets, allowing powerful female figures to break free from the two-dimensional plane. Gill Clarke has two entries, one showcasing her well-known pottery skills. ‘Still Life’ evokes the frustration and boredom of completing domestic chores.

‘Brochs’, by Fiona Schindler, recalls the ancient towers in Scotland through the medium of hand-built vessels of stoneware and oxides. One of Fran Farrar’s contributions features the medium of film, with her work shown against the backdrop of water in the New Forest.

The exhibition is open daily, except October 24.
