Apple Day brings taste of autumn

Brading Roman Villa will celebrate the arrival of autumn, with its annual community Apple Day on Saturday (September 19).

The free event will feature traditional apple pressing, giving visitors the chance to see how apples are transformed using time-honoured methods, as well as cider tasting and a selection of apple-inspired treats.

Families can enjoy kite making, arts and crafts, and an autumn nature trail, while farm animals, folk music, and Morris dancing will add to the entertainment.

Living history, craft, and heritage demonstrations will also showcase traditional skills and offer an insight into techniques and customs from the past.

The Forum Café and museum shop will be open throughout the day, giving visitors the chance to relax and explore the historic setting.

Entry to Apple Day is free and everyone is welcome.
