Pittis is changing the way it operates across the Isle of Wight, with dedicated local managers set to cover Freshwater, Sandown, and Shanklin, alongside its Newport and Ryde branches.
The estate agency said the changes reflect a decline in the number of customers visiting High Street offices, and a shift towards more mobile and online ways of working.
Under the new model, local managers will spend more time meeting customers, valuing properties, and managing sales in their communities rather than working from a branch.
They will be supported by Pittis teams handling buyer enquiries, appointment bookings, marketing, and sales administration.
Emma Ohlson-Page, Pittis business development director, said: “Estate agency has changed considerably. Customers don’t need their estate agent sitting behind a desk in a High Street all day. So few customers actually visit branches compared to the old days.
“They need someone who knows their area, takes responsibility for their move, is available when they need them, and has the backing to get the job done.”
She added: “We are not stepping away from Freshwater, Sandown, or Shanklin. We intend to continue competing for business in those areas, and serving customers who are already selling their homes with us.”
Pittis said its Newport and Ryde branches will remain part of the operation, while the business will continue to cover the whole of the Isle of Wight.
