Christmas Lights switch on at Tapnell Farm

The ever-popular switching on of the Christmas Lights at Tapnell Farm Park will take place on Sunday (Dec 1) from 3pm. Expect a festive choir, mischievous elf antics and a special guest appearance from Santa!

There will also be the official opening of the new Roller Skating rink and visitors will be able to enjoy a festive roller skate around the Christmas tree!

Local artist, Zoe Sadler, who created the illustrations for the new Christmas Experience ‘Tapland in search of Santa!’ Will also be present and doing a book signing of her two popular books The Lighthouse Keeper and Chasing Butterflies.

Zoe said: “It’s been a pleasure to be involved in the creation of ‘Tapland … in search of Santa!’ It’s been so much fun to help bring Tapland to life and bring a little bit of Christmas magic to the Island.”

The Christmas Experience …. in search of Santa! will open on Saturday, December 7 and will take place every weekend including the dates from December 20 to 23.

Other activities in the Farm Park on these dates include gingerbread making, elf yoga and more, making it a great all-weather festive day for the whole family.

Zoe Sadler is an illustrator whose love of reading fairy tales and penchant for her old-fashioned dip pen and pot of ink inspires her to create quirky hand drawn illustrations.

Originally from Scotland, where she also studied illustration, Zoe now works from her studio in the Isle of Wight as a freelance illustrator. She has a passion for children’s books and spends most of her time inventing stories and working on new book ideas.
