Rookley Village Association is delighted to announce the return of its much-loved Gardening Galore event, taking place on Sunday May 3 from 10am to 3pm. Now in its third decade, this long-running event has become a firm favourite within the community and continues to grow in popularity year after year.
Bringing together a vibrant mix of local plant nurseries, specialist growers, and gardening suppliers from across the Island, Gardening Galore offers something for everyone—from seasoned horticultural enthusiasts to those simply looking to brighten up their outdoor space.
With a wide variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and gardening essentials on offer, visitors are sure to find inspiration at every turn.
Over the years, the event has firmly established itself as one of the highlights of the Island’s horticultural calendar, proudly showcasing the very best of local talent, knowledge, and creativity. Whether you’re seeking expert advice, unique plants, or just a relaxing day out, Gardening Galore provides the perfect setting.
The event will be held at Rookley Village Hall and Sports Field, Highwood Lane, with FREE entry and FREE adjacent parking available for all visitors. This makes it easy to browse, shop, and conveniently return to your car with your purchases before heading back to explore even more.
Visitors can also take a well-earned break and enjoy refreshments inside the hall, including a delicious selection of homemade cakes, freshly prepared and served by the Rookley Women’s Institute. In addition, there will be a burger van serving hot food and an ice cream van offering sweet treats – perfect for enjoying throughout the day.
As a community-run event, there will also be an opportunity to support the Rookley Village Association, with donations being collected throughout the day. All contributions will be very gratefully received – so if you’ve got any spare change rattling around, this is the perfect place to let it roll into a good cause!
