Popular Freshwater chemists, Archie and Kemi Coker, have retired, although they will stay on to help while the business is transferred to new owners.
The couple have run Kemkay in Avenue Road have been running the business for many years and Freshwater South councillor, Becca Cameron, said: “I would like to wish them both a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement.
“Archie and Kemi have been a major part of our community for many years, and I am sure many residents will want to join me in thanking them for their long-standing presence, dedication, and support within our village.
“Through Kemkay, they have provided a valued service, and have become familiar and trusted faces to generations of local people.
“While this marks the beginning of their retirement, they are not disappearing just yet. Archie and Kemi will still be around for a while, helping with the transition as the business passes into new hands.
“On behalf of the community, thank you both for everything you have done over the years. We wish you all the very best for the future, and hope you enjoy the next chapter of your lives.”
