A squirrel’s-eye view wins photo competition

Prize presentation

A striking image entitled A Squirrel’s-Eye View of Mill Copse has won the Wight Nature Fund’s biosphere festival photo competition.

Taken by Zoe Arnold, the photograph was praised for its perspective and connection to the local landscape. Zoe was presented with her prize, a framed A3 copy of her image, by Yarmouth’s deputy mayor, Gill Head, during a day of community activities held at CHOYD and Mill Copse as part of the biosphere festival.

Wight Nature Fund (WNF) has been supported by Yarmouth Town Council since its early conservation work at Mill Copse in 1993.

Steve Cowley, chairman of Wight Nature Fund, said: “It was a wonderful day of nature, community and shared memories. We’re grateful to everyone who took part and helped make the event a success.”
