The annual Mountbatten charity table tennis tournament was held in June, at the Isle of Wight Table Tennis Centre, raising £1,715 for the hospice.
A cheque was presented to Charlotte Hornblow, of Mountbatten, by Tim Giles, vice-chairman of the IW Table Tennis Association, and Martin Dove, the association’s treasurer and centre manager.
Charlotte said: “This donation is much appreciated. It will greatly assist with our care of patients and their families here at the hospice.”
Tim added: “We are delighted, once again, with the success of this annual charity tournament for the hospice, now in its fourth year. The response was excellent and enjoyed by the 48 players, most who travelled from the mainland to play, and the supporters. We would also like to thank our sponsors.”
