The Isle of Wight Youth Trust has received a £730 boost, thanks to a lively quiz night fund-raiser hosted by Eldridges Solicitors at Café Isola, Newport.
The fully-booked event saw nearly 60 people join the Eldridges team, and Youth Trust representatives for an evening of friendly competition. Quiz master, Mike Cox, led several rounds, including a fast-paced ‘heads and tails’ segment.
Jo Dare, CEO at the Youth Trust, said: “The event brought together colleagues, partners, and community members for an evening of fun, friendly competition, and heartfelt generosity. Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm and support, we raised vital funds that will directly benefit young Islanders. I would like to thank Eldridges, and all who participated, donated, and helped organise the event. Together, we’re making a meaningful difference.”
A raffle added to the excitement and fund-raising total, with prizes donated by leading Island businesses including the Isle of Wight Steam Railway and Blackgang Chine. Guests also enjoyed drinks, home-made cakes, quiche, and antipasti platters, prepared by Café Isola.
Associate director at Eldridges, Joni Ade, added: “As an Island-based law firm, we understand how important the work of the Isle of Wight Youth Trust is, which is why we made them our charity of the year for 2025. The fund-raiser also benefited from the support of Café Isola, plus many leading Island businesses that gave generously to our raffle, and everyone who attended.”
