A much-loved Island ride is being brought back to life at Blackgang Chine, as the former Cows Express prepares for a magical revival in 2026.
The quirky train ride, once a favourite at former sister site, Robin Hill, is being reimagined in true Blackgang fashion — complete with a new theme, refreshed look, and striking blue colourway to complement the recently developed Blackgang Beach.
Though details of the final concept remain under wraps, Blackgang Chine has confirmed the ride will be situated just behind the beach area, offering guests a nostalgic, scenic journey filled with whimsy and imagination.
Park manager, Dan White, said: “We’re thrilled to be breathing new life into such a well-loved attraction. Our maintenance team is crafting something truly special — this is more than just a refurbishment. It’s a reinvention that our guests are going to adore.”
Construction is already under way, with visitors this summer able to spot early signs of development. The ride marks a major new investment in the park’s future, and reflects its ongoing commitment to combining heritage with innovation.
Known for its cliff-top views and eccentric charm, Blackgang Chine has enchanted families for over 180 years. The yet-to-be-named attraction is expected to continue that tradition, promising immersive story-telling, playful design and surprise at every turn.
