Island Leagues
Division One’s Ventnor top the table after a 4-0 away win at Bembridge. Prolific Emerson Tattersall netted all 4 goals, including the controversial second goal following what appeared to be a push on a Bembridge defender.
Osborne Coburg won 7-0 away at Vectis, with a Mark Taylor hat-trick, 2 from Harry Green, and 1 apiece from Jack Davies and 16-year-old Kian Vickery.
Resurgent Shanklin stopped Whitecroft & Barton’s 100 per cent record by drawing 1-1 away, with Jamie Trowbridge, giving Shanklin the first-half lead, with Sam Cant levelling in the 80th minute.
Brading won 4-1 at home to Binstead COB, with 2 goals from skipper, Dan Vale, and 1 each from player-of-the-match Luke Glyn and Lewis Parsons, with Matt Walker scoring the consolation goal.
In Division Two, Ryde Saints won 4-0 at home to Newport Res, through a Lucas Baker hat-trick and Alfie Bradley goal.
Leaders, High Park, lost 3-1, and keeper Tyler Cottingham was red-carded, away at Niton, with goals from Gary Hills, Tom Brownrigg and player-of-the-match Jared Cousins. Billy Haylor got the consolation goal.
East Cowes Sports won 8-1 away at Pan, with 2 goals apiece from Josh Richardson and Luke Oatley, and 1 apiece for Joel Porter, Andy Ebbs, Tom McDowell and Macauley Barnes, with Adam Drysdale scoring for Pan. Sandown & Lake won 3-1 away at Seaview, with George Johnson and Ryan Walker (2) on target for Sandown, and Aaron Corney Punch getting Seaview’s goal.
Combination & Cup
Combination One leaders, East Cowes Sports Res, won 4-2 away at Osborne Coburg, with Danny Russell, Frank Jones and Mackinly Blacklock (2) on target for ECS, and Jim Cantelo and Connor Coburn replying for Osborne.
Hyde Park Res won 1-0 at home to Sandown & Lake.
Shanklin Res won 4-0 away at Binstead COB, with 2 goals from Nicky Vyse, and 1 apiece from yellow-carded Henry Allen, and Fraser Lloyd.
Northwood Res drew 2-2 with visitors, W&B Res, who led through first-half goals from Keir Ramage and Josh Gwilliam. W&B’s Keiron Lewis was sent off in the second half.
Brading Town Res won away at Ventnor Res, with an Elliot Apter hat-trick and 1 apeice from Nick Gregory and Rich Scott, and a player-of-the-match performance from Miles Longerinas.
West Wight Res won 2-0 against West Wight A in the Hampshire Vase, with goals from George Saunders and Connal Groom.
In Combination Two, leaders, Niton Res, won 8-3 away at Bembridge A, with a James Evans hat-trick, and a goal each from Ed Brotherton, Ryan McDowall, Tony Potts, Adam Reuben and sub Richardson. Tyler Randle got a consolation hat-trick for Bembridge.
High Park A were awarded a home-win over Vectis Res.
Sandown & Lake A won 5-0 at home to Newchurch Res, with 2 goals apiece from Dale Watkins and yellow carded Jimmy Golding, and 1 from Eddie Johnson.
Second placed Oakfield Res won 9-0 away at Ventnor A.
Wessex
Skipper John Mckie’s second-half header saw Cowes win 1-0 at home to United Services in the Premier Division.
Newport, in Division One, won 4-2 away at Whitchurch, with goals from Ji Nash, Joe Butcher, Michael Thompsett and Joe Craig.
Vics lost 1-0 away at Hartpury University in the FA Vase.
Women
Shanklin won 3-0 at home to AFC Stoneham in Division One, with goals from Grace McDonald, Holly Stephan and Gemma Woodford. They move to second place. Wight Eagles drew 2-2 at home to Liphook United, with goals from Emma Webb and Kira Smith, and a player-of-the-match performance from Maisie Rann.
