Isle of Wight Day, on Saturday, September 16, is only just over week away and it will be time to get your bunting out.
This special day is a chance for Islanders to celebrate our heritage and how great it is to live here. For a number of years, the annual event has seen many properties and local areas decked with special Isle of Wight Day bunting. Organisers have once again teamed up with much-loved Island business, Hursts, to help with the distribution of the bunting.
You can of course use any you’ve saved from previous years, but from today (Friday) you can also pop into any Hursts store and collect free bunting.
The main event this year has the theme of Be A Roman For A Day. It takes place at Brading Roman Villa on Saturday, September 16, and will cost just £1 for Island residents, with a packed family fun day planned. You can also join Nipper, the mascot of Isle of Wight Day, and be a member of his army. Visit iow.life/iwday for full details.
