Dear Editor,
During Monday’s ‘Prime Minister’s statement on Peter Mandelson’, we were treated to the PM’s grovelling apology to Epstein’s victims. Had Keir Starmer ‘genuinely’ given these abused women a moment’s thought he would never have appointed Peter Mandelson as Britain’s Ambassador to the United States of America in the first place. The truth is, he didn’t care about them and appointed his close friend, Mandy, regardlessly of any concerns raised at the time.
What slipped under the radar was Starmer’s continual refusal to answer whether he was aware of Peter Mandelson’s connection with Sistema, with its links to the Russian military and Putin, along with Mandelson’s lobbying firm, Global Counsel, and its close connection to China, before he made the appointment. The role granted Mandelson access to the most sensitive national security information. If Keir Starmer did know, then it is difficult to see how he can argue that he wasn’t aware that Peter Mandelson might pose a potential security risk until late last week.
The key questions to my mind are threefold. Why was Keir Starmer happy to sell Britain, and our national security, down the river? Is there any connection between Peter Mandelson and China getting the green light to build its gigantic Super Embassy with its secret underground cells right next to the City of London? And finally, why is Starmer sitting on his hands when it comes to implementing the recommendations made in the UK’s Strategic Defence Review?
Whilst everyone is busily being distracted by process, Keir Starmer has shown himself to be totally unfit for office. He and his cronies need to be gone. What’s now needed is a Parliamentary vote of confidence to record the position of each individual serving MP.
