The Isle of Wight’s favourite VW and camping festival, Wight Buggin’, rolls back into Retro Staycations from Friday to Monday this weekend, running from September 11 to 14 at the Ryde site, which was awarded Best Campsite 2025.
Now firmly established as an end-of-season highlight, the event promises three days of funky vibes, camping cool, and family entertainment, all under a spacious all-weather marquee.
Friday night sees DJ Dub host the Back2Skool Throwback Disco, spinning ’90s and ’00s dancefloor classics, with fancy dress warmly encouraged. Saturday is given over to live bands and DJ sets throughout the day, building to an extended headline set from Blonde Bombshell, before Hush Silent Disco takes over once the amps go quiet. Sunday offers a gentler pace, with drinks from Island Ales, food from local traders, and auto jumble finds.
Family highlights include the Dub Dog Competition, a Rodeo Bull, and Football Fun Factory, with kids aged 17 or under going free. Campervans, caravans, motorhomes, tents and TentBoxes are all welcome on site.
Weekend camping costs £54 for a pitch exclusive of two adults across Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. That’s your pitch, access to all entertainment, facilities and a whole weekend of memories.
A range of tickets including Saturday day-time, and Friday opening night party entry, can be purchased on-line at jackupevents.co.uk/whats-on/wight-buggin/, or on the gate.
Gates 11am on Saturday for day ticket admission, only £12 for a car/van and up to 5 people.
Free parking available on-site plus pick-up/drop-off area. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
Whether you’re a camping enthusiast, music lover, or just looking for a chilled-out family getaway, Wight Buggin’ has something for everyone.
