Dear Editor,
I always enjoy your newspaper and would like to respond to an article in last week’s edition.
It was about Marks and Spencers deciding to lock one of their doors. M&S used to put all purchased items into one of their highly recognisable bags but since the company started charging for their carrier bags, customers like myself just carry the purchased items out of the store under their arm with the tags still on. It was obvious that shoplifting would increase. It would be so easy to do; one is never challenged.
