Dear Editor,
I’m diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and I found myself needing a loo while shopping in Lidl in Shanklin. I saw a young man opening the loos, which for some reason they now keep locked. He unlocked it for a woman with a child. I asked if I could use it, he said “No – only kids, not grown people!” I have a card from the Crohn’s society saying “Help! Can’t wait.” But with all the Christmas shoppers there and the way he embarrassed me I felt I couldn’t; I had to rush out to find a loo.
Surely if a shop has a public toilet for the use of their customers to use why would they start locking them and deciding who they let in? Christmas goodwill? Not in Lidl Shanklin! I’m taking my custom to Aldi they are not so rude.
