Shanklin Chine is spooktacular

Shanklin Chine’s Hallowe’en Spooktacular has returned for 2023, and will be running right through until November 4 so don’t miss this frightfully fun family-friendly event!

Meet spooky characters from Enchanted Isle, from the famous Sanderson Sisters to Addams Family favourites, Wednesday, Morticia and Gomez. Look up at giant laughing clowns (you’ll either love or hate them), marvel at living dead mummies and stand inside the ginormous Chine pumpkin, all, of course, with your favourite original spooky gang!

Follow the spooky trail guides (watch out for giant spiders) and when your little monsters’ tummies are grumbling like a demon, visit the terrifying tearooms, serving up ghoulish treats from the monster mash menu.

Jo Porter, of Shanklin Chine, said: “We want to keep adding to the spooky experience that is Hallowe’en at Shanklin Chine. We started a couple of years ago with spooky trails and a few creepy critters, and have continued to add to the experience and grow the event.

“We will also be turning on our evening illuminations every day, which have been photographed and shared by visitors a lot this season. They add an extra dimension of magic when all of the Hallowe’en decorations are out.”

Standard entrance prices to Shanklin Chine apply, and all come with seven days free returns with Islanders receiving 10 per cent off tickets with proof of address.

There is still no direct access to the Chine from the top entrance; the alternative route from the Old Village is along Church Road, Priory Road, Popham Road to Rylstone Gardens or along Chine Ave, down Chine Hill and enter Shanklin Chine via Esplanade entrance.
