A mother’s faith in humanity was restored when two people replaced her son’s scooter, which was stolen from outside Sandown Library.
Michelle Churches posted on the Isle of Wight Community and Emergency Information Facebook page how ‘lovely lady Steph from Sandown’ had given Callum a scooter her son didn’t use any more.
But there was more good news to come when the family found a new scooter left in the porch from an anonymous well-wisher. Michelle said: “You should have seen how happy he was.”
The happiness was spread even wider when Steph said that Callum could pass on the other scooter to his sister. The responses to the post showed how touched people were and praised the acts of kindness from strangers.
