Brading Roman Villa celebrated the start of autumn, with a fun-filled Apple Day, combining the landscape, harvesting, and living history.
The third annual event saw plenty of creativity and laughter, with more than 1,000 visitors enjoying apple juice pressing, folk-singer, Glen Koppan, Little Gem, The Oyster Girls, and Crosskey Clogs, as well as cider tasting.
Sarah Girling, the Villa’s heritage and education officer, said: “It was a wonderful community day, with lots of musical performances, enactments, and country crafts – it’s been the most successful Apple Day to date.”
Islander, Zoe Davis, added: “I saw the ad in the IW Observer, and thought I’d pop along, and it’s been a delightful day for all generations.”
