A replica Spanish galleon, the 55m-long (180ft) Galeón Andalucía, has arrived in Cowes as part of a tour of the UK and Ireland.
The Galeón Andalucía is moored at Trinity Landing and is open to the public until October 4. The ship is a replica of the Spanish galleons which sailed between Spain, the Americas and Asia for around three centuries.
Visitors will be able to explore its six decks and learn more about life aboard the vessels, which played a major role in Spain’s maritime history.
It is being used to promote Andalusia as a tourist destination, and is visiting several locations in France, the UK and Ireland during its 2026 European tour.
The ship will be open daily from 10am to 8pm. Children under five can visit for free but must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available via iw.observer/galeon-cowes or on board the ship.
