A dance fitness event, in Sandown, has raised £560 for Alzheimer’s Cafés IW.
The session, called ‘Saturday Night Fever, Sunday Morning Remedy,’ took place on Sunday, May 25, with 35 members and friends of Ali’s Fitness Fusion taking part.
Guest presenter, Philip Quigley, from Quigley’s Theatre School in Kent, led the class with a routine set to I Should Be Dancing from Saturday Night Fever. It was Philip’s second visit to the group, and organisers say he will return again.
Ali’s Fitness Fusion is run by Ali Hinde, supported by instructors, Lisa Cooper, Freya Woodford and Sally Chaucer. They run sessions in Camp Hill, Carisbrooke, Arreton, Cowes, Wootton and Binstead, offering FitSteps, Rockbox, DanceAttack and Pilates.
Members range in age from 18 to 86. In addition to fitness, the group holds events throughout the year to support Island charities.
