St John Ambulance volunteers are offering the chance to learn how to help someone in cardiac arrest. A series of free life-saving demonstrations will be held on Thursday, October 10. from 10am until 4pm and 6.30pm until 9.30pm at 12 Manners View, Dodnor Park, Newport.
The evening session will showcase volunteering opportunities and first aid services to local residents and event organisers.
Volunteer Derek Lammers-Wood said: “We’re really keen for local people to come along and learn some life-saving skills as part of this year’s Restart a Heart campaign, but we’d also like people to drop in during the open evening to have a chat with us about St John Ambulance and what we do in the local community.”
