Jeremy Dale has been presented with the Outstanding Contribution award, at the Seawork 2026.
The award, sponsored by the Maritime Journal, recognises his contribution to the maritime industry during a career spanning more than three decades.
Throughout that time, he has been involved in maritime safety innovation, helping to develop life-saving equipment used by commercial, military, and leisure mariners around the world.
His work has focused on improving safety and survival outcomes at sea, while also influencing industry standards and best practice across the sector.
Mr Dale, who was awarded an OBE for services to maritime safety, received the award from Maritime Journal’s chief executive, Andrew Webster, during this year’s Seawork exhibition.
Mr Webster said: “Jeremy Dale OBE’s impact on the marine industry has been significant and far-reaching. Through decades of leadership, innovation, and service, he has helped shape and strengthen our sector.
“It is a privilege to present him with the Maritime Journal award for Outstanding Contribution to the Marine Industry, at Seawork 2026, in recognition of his remarkable achievements and enduring legacy.”
Mr Dale said: “It is a tremendous honour to receive this recognition.
“Maritime safety has been my passion throughout my career, and I have been fortunate to work alongside many talented colleagues and partners who share the same commitment to saving lives at sea.
“This award reflects the collective efforts of everyone who has supported SeaSafe’s journey over the years.”
