On Saturday, September 28, Vectis Corps of Drums Marching Band were once again asked to participate in Shaftesbury Carnival in their band parade and the main carnival.
The band parade involved competing against other bands from the local area for a variety of trophies. This included a 12-minute performance for the judges and the audience. During this performance the there was a very lively and fast performance of the Can Can which was played by the glockenspiel section. After this the band entertained the crowds with a marching display and a variety of music. Following this the band continued onto the main carnival and during this the band was awarded the Most Entertaining Band and the Best Overall Band.
