Team Thunder gives their thanks

Sandown & Lake FC enjoyed an end-of-season celebration evening for their U-16 Team ‘Thunder’ squad, with managers, Michael Radic and Richard Murthwaite, receiving awards before retiring after 10 years at the helm.

During their 10 years, they secured the 2022 IW League, and won the beach soccer championship in the same season.

Club chairman, Steve Hobday, said: “It takes everyone in a team to work, not just the managers, but the kids and also the parents and Thunder have managed that. They are an inspiration to future Sandown & Lake Football Club teams, and as a club we are very proud of them. We wish them well for the future.”
