The building housing Lloyds Bank, at 22 St Thomas’ Square in Newport, has been put up for sale.
The freehold of the prominent building, which was originally two properties, is on the market with commercial property specialists, Chesters Harcourt. The sale is subject to the existing lease held by Lloyds Bank plc, and offers in the region of £450,000 are invited.
The building’s sale is taking place against the backdrop of the Halifax brand being incorporated into the Lloyds Banking Group identity during 2027. However, despite their close proximity in Newport town centre, neither Lloyds nor Halifax branches in Newport are included on the list of planned closures.
