Townswomen’s Guild holds coffee morning

Sandown Afternoon Townswomen’s Guild held a very successful fund-raising coffee morning in aid of the Friends of St Mary’s, raising over £270.

Vice-chairman, Irene Young, said: “The Guild would like to thank everyone who donated cakes and coffee, as well as plants and garden produce, to help make the event a success and raise much-needed funds for the hospital.”

Sandown Mayor, Alex Lightfoot, popped along and added: “All involved with the Guild care about the community they live in, and this event highlighted the compassion and concern they have for others.”
