The Sun Inn, Calbourne, has new owners, Jake Rigby and Peter Greenhalgh, who took over the pub this week.
They replace Kate Goldstone and Jake Whittaker, who had previously run the business for 17 years and stepped down at the beginning of the month.
They said on Facebook this week: “We would like to thank everyone for making us feel so welcome during our first week; everyone has been lovely despite still running reduced stock!
“We just want to thank everyone for bearing with us; we wanted your pub to remain open and not close for a long period of time. You’ve all made us feel comfortable and welcome and we look forward to serving your community!”
It is the first time the two pals have run a pub together but they have previously worked in the hospitality industry.
