Ryde Neighbourhood Board members will be on hand to explain more about the Pride in Place programme and give details of how to apply for grant funding available to improve the town.
They will host drop-in sessions at The Department in Cross Street from today (Friday) until Saturday, June 20.
Residents will also have the chance to leave comments on how they would like Pride in Place funding to be spent in the coming years. The Government has made £19.5 million Pride in Place money available to support positive change in the town over the next ten years.
Lisa Gagliani, who chairs Ryde Neighbourhood Board’s communications and engagement committee, said: “We know the community has a lot of ideas about how the Pride in Place money can best be spent. This is another chance for residents and businesses to make their views known to us.
“We have also recently launched our Community Grants programme, where sums of up to £20,000 are available to support local projects. There has already been a lot of interest, and the drop-in event at The Department will be a chance for people to talk to us about the opportunities in the grant programme and seek advice on how to apply.
“The success of Pride in Place relies on the involvement of the community, so please come along, find out more about the project and let us have your views.”
The drop-in sessions are between 9.30am and 5.50pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
