Across the south, five young boys are growing up in warm, supportive foster homes. They go to school, play, laugh and learn, but they are still waiting for something more permanent: a family to call their own – forever.
Adopt South, the regional adoption agency covering the Island, is appealing to local families to consider adoption. They are currently seeking families for three individual boys – Mason, Albie, Finley-Jack, and two brothers – Logan and George (names changed for privacy).
Each child is full of personality and potential. They enjoy the same things as many children their age – toys, stories, school and cuddles – and are thriving thanks to the care of their foster families. But what they need now is the stability and love of a forever home.
All five boys have some additional needs, such as developmental delays or neurodiversity, but these do not define them. What they all have is a capacity for joy, growth and connection and the need for somebody to love them and bring out their full potential.
Rachel Reynolds, head of Adopt South, said: “We’re asking people to look beyond labels and see the child. These boys are ready to be loved for who they are.”
Adopt South welcomes enquiries from all backgrounds and offers full support throughout the process. To find out more, call 0300 3000 011 or visit the Adopt South website.
