Heather joins Heaven 17 next August

2 min read

Next August’s Jack Up The Summer is looking set to be one of the best yet with a great line-up including Heaven 17, Big Country, Aswad, From The Jam and The Strangler’s front man Hugh Cornwell.

The team behind the retro, family-friendly festival have now announced that one of the most distinctive voices in music, Heather Small will also be joining them to headline on Sunday for their now established slot on the second weekend in August, Friday 7 to Sunday 9.

Heather appeared in the Big Top at the Isle of Wight Festival earlier this year and speaking of her return to the North Fairlee Farm site for Jack Up The Summer said; “I absolutely love the Isle of Wight and heard so many great things about Jack Up during my recent time here that I just had to make it my next port of call. It’s so important to support the smaller homegrown events and Jack Up The Summer has a longstanding history on the Island which is truly something to be both commended and celebrated as it’s a tough market out there these days.”

Next year the Friday will be included in the price of Weekend tickets, with a big opening party set to delight 80s aficionados.

Mainstream Early Bird tickets for Jack Up The Summer vol8 go on sale on Monday, December 9 at jackupthesummer.co.uk. Island visitors can also save 20% off of Wightlink and Red Funnel ferry travel when purchasing their festival tickets via the Jack Up The Summer website.
