By Isle of Wight ObserverBook lovers can enjoy Red Funnel discounts for this year’s Literary Festival at Northwood House.
Red Funnel is sponsoring the event and providing festival goers taking the car over from Southampton to East Cowes a 20% discount on a return crossing when booked in advance.
IW Literary festival foot passenger offers include a special £9.95 day return and a £15.95 weekend return for the Red Jet service to Cowes.
A rich and diverse line-up of speakers including novelists, historians, correspondents, political figures and media presenters feature in the programme of the Red Funnel Isle of Wight Literary Festival taking place in Cowes from October 11-14.
The festival, now in its 7th year, has a programme of over 60 speakers including Terry Waite, Peter Snow and Ann MacMillan, Bob Champion, James Bloodworth and John Suchet.
The festival finishes with what promises to be a lively politics question panel with the Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP, Austin Mitchell, Bob Seely MP and Labour’s Julian Critchley – chaired by Rt Hon Sir Richard Ottaway.
