Three men charged following public order incident in Newport

Three men have been charged following a public order incident that we were called to at Newport Bus Station on Orchard Street on Sunday (March 16) evening at 6.45pm.

Following a thorough investigation three men have been charged and remanded to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, March 18).

They are:

  • Patrick William O’Flynn, 41, of Lea Road in Sandown has been charged with affray and possession of a knife, blade, or sharp pointed article in a public place.
  • Benjamin David Blenkinsop, 23, of Royal Architects Road in East Cowes has been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
  • William Cantelo, 24, of Chapel Street in Newport has been charged with affray.
