Students from Theatretrain Isle of Wight have returned from a triumphant performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall, where they took part in the national production ‘We’re Gonna Change the World’.
The show explored the changes young people want to see in society, blending drama, dance, and music into a powerful celebration of youth voice and creativity.
Artistic director, Kevin Dowsett, praised the production as “a triumph,” highlighting the energy, teamwork, and talent of all involved. “This show wasn’t just entertainment – it was a celebration of growth, imagination, and the Theatretrain spirit,” he said.
Standout moments included performances of Surface Pressure, Born This Way, Fragile, Trouble in the Water, and the finale, The Climb, which embodied the show’s message of unity, hope, and the power of young people to drive change.
Julie Caudle, of Theatretrain, said: “I am so proud of our students. To see them perform at such an iconic venue, with such professionalism and confidence, was inspiring. They rose to the challenge brilliantly and gave a performance they’ll never forget.”
Theatretrain Isle of Wight continues to nurture young talent, offering opportunities for students to grow artistically, and make their voices heard on national stages.
