A Community Spirited Cafe Funday raised more than £900 for the East Cowes charity, on Saturday.
The day of entertainment was a just part of a long day for Jane Allchorn, the cafe’s founder, who was also involved in the town carnival later in the evening.
Jane said: “The money raised will make a huge difference to us. It was lovely to have the community being part of what we do; it makes it all so worthwhile and we’re so grateful to them.”
There were refreshments, stalls, and games for children, including colouring pictures, ‘grab a prize’, and ‘Teddy Tombola’, along with open air Bingo.
Entertainment came from the East Cowes Shanty, singer and guitarist John Wroath, and Becky Langridge, of Creationz Dance Academy.
Jane added: “Afterwards we teamed up with Peter May, from the ‘To Be in Her Shoes’ charity, with our float, and took part in the carnival, so it was a long day!”
