Southern Vectis is offering free travel for dads this Father’s Day, on Sunday, when they travel with a child holding a valid 24-hour Rover ticket.
The local bus operator is encouraging families to enjoy a car-free day out exploring the Island, with the special offer allowing children to bring their dad along for free.
“It’s not always easy picking a gift for Father’s Day,” said Nikki Honer, head of communications at Southern Vectis. “So how about this? Dads can spend their special day with their children travelling across the Island on us.
“There are so many great places to visit, it’s a chance to leave the car at home, relax, and take an adventure together. A nice role-reversal too, with the kids becoming ‘dad’s taxi’ for a change.”
The 24-hour Rover ticket gives unlimited travel on Southern Vectis buses for one day, with each ticket purchased by a child, one father can travel for free.
