The IWTTA Winter League 2024/2025 has concluded after six months of competitive play throughout three divisions.
The Finals Night is to be held on Wednesday, (April 30) which will be the culmination of the season, with many titles to be decided.
During the summer there is a popular handicapped Summer League, plus the Mountbatten Charity Tournament held in June which attracts top mainland players to take part.

Division One
Ryde dominated the First Division again this year, and the League Champions are Ryde C who were unbeaten and finished 16 points above second-placed Ryde Rankers. Ryde A were another 15 points behind in third place.
The top placed non-Ryde team was Havenstreet A, who finished just 4 points behind Ryde A in fourth.
Both of Newport Vics teams had a difficult season, with Vics A finishing at the bottom of the table and Vics B just 2 points above them.
Topping the player’s averages table is Ryde A’s Scott Lawson, with over 90 per cent win average, whilst Ryde Goshawks’ Steve Mills has over 89 per cent, Ryde C’s Paul Rainford is on 88 and Ryde B’s Alex Rorke has 87.
Division Two
Ryde Revellers look ready for the challenge of Division One, finishing top and 19 points ahead of nearest rivals, Havenstreet B, who enjoyed an excellent season. Ryde Detonators were just 3 points behind in third, with the fast improving youngsters of Ryde Rising Stars ending the season on the same number of points in fourth.
Newport Vics two teams in this division had contrasting fortunes, with the C team finishing in fifth place, but newly promoted Vics D found the challenge of the Second Division a step too far, and will be relegated back to the Third for next season. Shorwell Spinners, will stay in the Second Division for next season.
Ryde Quintet’s Julie Thorn has over 95 per cent win average, Newport Vics’ C’s Dave Newnham 88, and Ryde Reveller’s Spike Hughes who also lies on 88.
Division Three
The champions are Ryde Retailers, who proved unbeatable in the latter part of the season, finishing 19 points ahead of new team, Wroxall Warriors. St Lawrence Lizards finished in a disappointing third place after a hard season for them.
Shorwell Saints and Ryde Rustics finished in the bottom two places, both slipping down one from last season.
Newcomer, Wroxall Warrior’s Andrew Bailey has a win average of over 97 per cent, Ryde Retailer’s Paul Cates is the only player to have taken part in every match and has 80, whilst team mate Joe Millward has 85.
