Police are appealing for witnesses, after the driver of a black Audi was in collision with a blue Suzuki SX4, which was carrying a 16-month-old child, and left the scene without exchanging details.
The police were alerted to the incident on The Downs Road, at its junction with Lime Kiln Shute on Sunday at 4.25pm.
A spokesman said: “Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information, in particular the driver of the Audi, should contact 101, quoting crime reference number, 44240445636.”
