Open auditions are being held at The Apollo Theatre, Newport, for the modern and exciting thriller, The Girl on the Train. This stage adaptation of the best-selling novel, by Paula Hawkins, requires seven cast-members who, during the play, will delve into the complexities of human relationships and the impact of trauma.
A read-through of the play, for anyone interested in taking part in the production, will take place on Monday (May 27), at The Apollo Theatre at 7.30pm. Auditions will be held on Sunday, June 2, at 4pm at the theatre.
Female roles are Rachel (mid-30s), the lead role, an alcoholic-divorcee, Megan (20s) young, artistic and sensitive with a dark past, and Anna (20-35) anxious but determined to protect her marriage to Tom.
Male roles are Tom (30-40), confident, appears to be a loving husband, Rachel’s ex Scott (20-35), IT professional, masculine and volatile, married to Megan, Kamal (25-40) Megan’s therapist, and DI Gaskill (30-50 not gender specific), the insightful and determined detective.

The production runs from Friday, September 7, to Saturday, September 14; cast members will need to commit to being available for the production on Friday and Saturday then Tuesday to Saturday the following week.
