Friends, team-mates, and colleagues will come together this weekend to honour Tristan Price, with a memorial rugby match and family fun day at Ventnor rugby grounds.
The event will take place on Sunday (April 19), at the ground in PO38 1LP, with kick-off at 2pm, and donations invited on entry.
Tristan, known as “Beast”, was a member of Ventnor RFC and worked as a door supervisor for Executive Command. He died recently in a car accident.
In tribute, Tristan’s colleagues from Executive Command, many of them new to rugby, have been training in recent weeks ahead of a friendly match against Ventnor RFC.
Organisers say the day is intended both as a celebration of Tristan’s life and as a fund-raiser to support his family.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the official GoFundMe appeal, which is aiming to reach its £20,000 target. It can be found via iw.observer/tristan-hunt.
A barbecue, raffle, and bouncy castle will also be part of the day, with the event open to families and supporters of all ages.
