‘Coming Home’ to Mountbatten IW collaborates with local businesses

During the pandemic, Cowes-based business owners, Kathy and Dave, of ChilliWinter, successfully raised more than £4,000 for Mountbatten IW, and have since raised more than £1,000 for Hospice UK, and a further £1,000 for The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary in Sandown.

“We love collaborating with local businesses, as well as championing the work of local not-for-profit and charitable organisations, so it feels like we are ‘coming home’ again in 2024 to partner with Mountbatten IW. The response in 2020 with our rainbow and sunflower collections was very positive, and, together with Mountbatten, we are very thankful for the support our community showed, to make this happen. This year, we’ve created a collection of three different handmade gifts and treats, designed to be bright and uplifting, yet also relaxing, offering something for everyone.”

The new products are ChilliWinter’s Sunshine Coffee Cup Candle, a handmade and embellished Sunflower Candle, and a Beeswax Candle-making kit.

With every sale of these products, the proceeds will directly contribute to Mountbatten’s day-to-day work, providing vital care services to those most in need across our home community.

“We are very thankful to ChilliWinter for supporting Mountbatten as their charity of the year,” said Nigel Hartley, Mountbatten CEO. “We rely so much on the generosity of our Island community to enable us to support people experiencing death, dying and bereavement.

“As demand for our services grows year on year, so does the need for people to get behind us, so we are very grateful to ChilliWinter for thinking of us, and we really look forward to enjoying another successful partnership with them.”
