The return of the Monster Truck teams, Big Pete and the Grim Reaper, ensured the Chale Show was a monster success over the weekend.
There were thrills and spills with the 97th show, providing a spectacular celebration of rural life, family fun and unforgettable entertainment.
There was the largest horticultural marquee on the Island, bursting with giant vegetables, cakes, and crafted handicraft hosting more than 200 classes.
As well as the Monster Trucks, there was a comedy car chaos, thanks to the hilarious Dingle Fingle. And, of course, no Chale Show would be complete without its dazzling displays of vintage vehicles, steam engines and countryside traditions.
There was music by the Vectis Corps of Drums and Medina Marching Band, plus Samba music. And local bands, featuring The Accelerators, Martha, Soul Lounge and The Hanging Baskets, performed on the Sunflower Music Stage, in support of Mountbatten.
Younger visitors enjoyed the free Kids’ Zone and the magical ‘Somewhenever’ story tent and David Randini, while on the Village Green, visitors found everything from family games to traditional crafts.
Paws were also at the ready for the much-loved Snoot Box Dog Show, where four-legged friends took centre stage and (new for 2025!) there was a dedicated Wellness Zone.
All proceeds go to local charities, and the show raised nearly £10,000 last year.
