Have you got talent?

Cowes Fringe has launched The Island’s Got Talent, a new showcase created to spotlight outstanding local performers ahead of the festival’s May programme.

The event takes place at East Cowes Town Hall on Sunday, March 1, and is open to anyone aged eight and above, from singers and musicians to comedians, jugglers, and variety acts. Designed as a friendly daytime platform, it gives young people and emerging artists the chance to perform, build confidence, and join the Cowes Fringe community.

Acts will be judged by Nigel Hartley MBE, Rob da Bank, Hannah Brear and DJ JAMRoKi, with one standout performer earning a slot in the Mountbatten gala evening, in May. The event is free, drop‑in, and applications close on January 31. You can apply via iw.observer/island-talent.
