IW country crowd dances up £1,400

A lively country‑themed fundraiser at Browns Golf Course has raised more than £1,400 for the Daisy Ring Bus. The event, held on Sunday in the venue’s large function room, brought supporters together for an afternoon of line dancing, live music, and karaoke.

Guests were taught line‑dancing steps, by Grace, from Long Island Stompers, while popular duo, Duzz, provided music throughout the afternoon. A well‑supported raffle helped boost the final total, alongside donations and activities across the event.

Organisers said they were delighted with the turnout and the generosity shown by everyone who attended. They also extended their thanks to the volunteers, who gave their time to help run the afternoon – including those who organised the raffle, supported the entertainment, and assisted behind the scenes to ensure the event ran smoothly.

The fund-raiser was held to support the Daisy Ring Bus, which provides vital community transport for residents travelling to mainland hospitals for cancer treatment.
