The Taverner’s pub, in Godshill, closed suddenly on Sunday afternoon, but its tenants have promised ‘new owners are inbound’.
The pub has been run by Matt and Deanna since October after previous tenants, Tim and Emma Foster, announced they had decided not to renew their lease on the High Street pub, saying they wanted more family time.
Matt and Deanna said on social media: “With a heavy heart, we will close the doors for the final time this evening (Sunday). However, new owners are inbound and we wish them all the luck in the world. We thank you all.”
