Blustery conditions welcomed 27 Contessa yachts of all classes to the Royal Solent Yacht Club for the second Contessa Regatta over the weekend.

After a Louis Jadot drinks reception on Friday evening, followed by a supper sponsored by Hall Hunter, the racing began in earnest on Saturday.

There were three lively races set in 20-plus knots of breeze, which suited these highly competitive classes competing for the Contessa 26 & 28 Nationals and Contessa 32 Inshore Points Series. Sunday’s blue skies and calmer conditions saw two further races.
