A new Bay Business Association (BBA) aiming to unite local businesses and drive meaningful change is set to launch on April 30 with an event at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary.
The association, founded by a group of forward-thinking industry leaders, seeks to deliver opportunities for collaboration and growth, and help face the challenges presented by the current tough economic landscape for businesses in the Bay. Through its membership benefits – including networking events, advertising discounts, business insights and promotional opportunities – the BBA promises to create a strong community of businesses working together.
The initiative will also act as a collective voice for businesses across the Bay, and ensure delivery of the Bay place plan, a strategic vision to spur investment into local projects benefits local companies. Although the Bay area officially spans Yaverland to Luccombe and extends 1km (0.6 miles) inland, businesses from across the Island are encouraged to participate to build a wider network of support.
“Our mission is to seek out and drive opportunities for Bay businesses that help them thrive. Collaboration is key to creating significant change in today’s tough economic environment,” said the association’s chairman, Lawrence Bates. “We’re really excited to meet business owners at our launch event, hear their ideas, and shape this association into something that benefits everyone.”
The BBA welcomes companies of all sizes and sectors, creating an inclusive space where facilitated introductions help businesses gain the specific support they need.
The launch event will provide more details about the BBA and its work to date, offering an opportunity to learn how joining could support your business. Local business owners are encouraged to attend and explore what the BBA could offer.
The event takes place on April 30 at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary.
